I'm Oana, a writer, filmmaker, and educator born in Romania and based in New York City. I’m currently completing my MFA in Creative Writing at Columbia University, where I’ll be teaching a poetry workshop this fall.

My poetry appears in Spectrum Journal, Tint Journal, Divot Lit, and luvsick! mag. I received the 2025 CCS Spectrum Award for poetry and was a finalist for the Agnes Nixon and Kiki McCabe Screenwriting Prize in 2022.

When I’m not consumed with my creative muse, you'll find me picnicking in the park with some friends, dancing wildly to live music, or petting my beloved cat, Donkey Kong.
